Hello 172.71.194.127! Welcome to http:// library.mobrien.com. Here you will
find downloadable learning tools and development tools to help
you secure your computer and test its security. In addition to
hacker-detect tools, MP3 downloads, free scripts and net tools
there is an extensive library on network security and related
technical issues.
SQL search resources from here include: advanced, the
Canadian Ham-Radio Call
Book and MP3 music.
Handle Server: In addition to its own
Domain Name Servers, this network also has a Handle System
Naming Authority Server (1720/). We employ the handle system to
archive and make available to research specialists the past
issues and research papers published by MPRM Group Limited in
The Wednesday Report, Canada's Aerospace and Defence
Weekly.
The secure Handle System was established by the (US)
Corporation for National Research Initiatives (CNRI) in concert with the Defense
Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA). MPRM Group Limited operates a
Handle Server here at hdl:1720/index
You must have the "Handle System Resolver" (browser plugin)
installed on your computer. Get the browser plugin here.

Search our resource-rich technical library. The Network Tools and
IT Library Portal. A collection of security development tools In
addition to resources you navigated here for you will also find
downloadable learning and development tools to secure your
computer; DNS tools; network calculators; virus updates and
cleaners; free scripts and applications. Tech Library: You will
also find a resource-rich technical library built from the
understanding that IT is transforming society - creating new
careers, new industries, new academic disciplines. Being an
informed citizen in this Information Age requires knowledge of
computing systems, global communications networks, and
interactive information resources. The requisite level of
knowledge goes beyond being comfortable with computing tools. It
requires the ability to apply computational ways of thinking to
design, to writing, to experimentation, to artistic expression,
and to problem solving. In the Information Age, our ideas are no
longer constrained solely by what is physically possible, but by
what is computationally realizable. Handle Server: Adding to our
network domain name services, this server is a Handle System
Naming Authority (1720/). We employ the handle system to index
and archive the research papers published by MPRM Group Limited
in The Wednesday Report, Canada's Aerospace and Defence Weekly.

What Is RDF Site Summary (RSS)?
RDF Site Summary (RSS) is a lightweight multipurpose extensible
metadata description and syndication format. RSS is an XML application,
conforming to the W3C's RDFSpecification. RSS is extensible via XML-namespace
and/or RDF based modularization.
An RSS summary, at a minimum, is a document describing a "channel"
consisting of URL-retrievable items. Each item consists of a title,
link, and brief description. While items have traditionally been news headlines,
RSS has seen much repurposing in its short existence.
Fetch Your robots.txt File
Below is a resource for fetching your existing robots.txt file or checking that you have one.
Create a robots.txt file
This resource will generate a "robots.txt" file for you to place in the root ("/") directory of your web site. To the right you will type the directory names --virtual or real-- you wish to forbid to robots.
Format is "/directory/". You can also enter a specific page like "mysecretpage.htm"
Why robots.txt? Your web pages should all contain meta tags to instruct web crawlers. Objects like images or java class files cannot be so encoded. The first thing a web crawler looks for when it reaches your site is the robots.txt file. If it doesn't find it, a "404 Not Found" error is generated and logged. What waste. Next it seeks its own name within the file. Thirdly, it reads the robots.txt entires under its name to see where it can go. If there is no robots.txt file in your root directory (/) then it will a) simply abort or b) crawl everything, including your secret files, your images, your "worker" scripts and so on.
